The other day I harvested my mint patch, for the first time this year. I got a lot of mint.....a lot.....tons! It filled one whole grocery bag. I am really happy about it. I'm going to dry it and then use it for tea this winter, gifts, and whatever else you can use mint for!
This bag was stuffed!
All washed up! You have to get out any spiders and bugs that might be using it has a home or eating it for their lunch.
You air dry it for a a couple hours.....then off to the dehydrator for 8 hours. After that into a 200 degree oven for 8 minutes with the door cracked....
When it has cool off, you can de-stem them and put them in a glass jar! And store it away for this winter!
(BTW; the picture above is only half of the mint I processed.)
You will be very thankful for it when the cold winter air comes in and you're longing for a come of fresh mint tea!
What is your favorite kind of tea?
I like herbal teas but I also like black tea too. Like Earl Gray and English Breakfast. Yum!
Black tea is a strong tea, while herbal teas have a lighter taste to them.
One herbal tea I enjoy is White Pear and Ginger! So good! You should try it out!
Blessings to all!
