Recommendations
For training a horse there is so many different ways, techniques and methods to use. And I don't think anyone should force their methods upon another. So I am going to give some recommendations (links) to you that you can look up, use, study and then form your own opinion.....
Stacy Westfall training
I have learned so much from Stacy Westfall and really recommend her style/type of training for anyone, even a beginner. Meaning, if you got your first horse recently or you have had a horse for a little bit and you want and need to learn how to do ground work with your horse, then go check out the Westfall website, check out her videos and start reading up.
You can go to her website and look at her FAQ page. Or you can become a member to her website (which is free) and get access to some great training articals.
Her videos are great and have helped me tons. I don't think the library has her videos but you can check a couple short training videos on youtube or buy her training videos from her website.
