Ok, so this is going to be a really random blog post. As I have a picture of my puffy hair to bread I made and then a couple cakes I made recently.
I had had my hair up in a bun and when I took it out it was extremely puffy. It is kind of hard to tell in the picture but it really was. = )
This is a picture of my hair last year before I cut it.
This is probably some girls nightmare hair. = )

Onto the bread......I made some ciabatta bread a couple weeks ago....not so good at blogging yet. = )
It's the type of bread that you dip in soup. It has a soft inside with a crunchy outside. Yum!
This is always a favorite in our house, along with the baguette bread I posted awhile ago. You can find the baguette recipe on my bakery page.

Next up, the cakes! We'll start with the birthday cake I made. One of my friends was turning 20 and I had the privilege of making her a cake!
There is a couple pictures if the process and then the finished product. It was a fun cake to make and I thought it turned out nice.

This part will be cut into trips and then it goes onto the side of the cake.
It kind of looks like a big piece of gum!
Anyway!

Another picture....closer up.
Almost done...this is what I accomplished the first day. Then I did finishing touches the next day.
The second day I added a little plaque-belt buckle-badge looking thing. It was really cute!
Ta-da!
Done!
Done!
Then to finish it off, I made some sugar decorations.
A couple ways you could think of it is; spun sugar, (but not spun, just drizzled on paper and let harden,) or a homemade lolly pop (just in a weird shape,) Or, sugar cooked till it's really hot then poured into the shape you want.
Any of those would work. = )

And of course I had to post a million pictures....
You might have noticed that the cake looks lighter in color outside. I think it does, plus I have found that when I put a cake outside it dims the colors. So just keep that in mind if you make a cake.

Oops, looks like I got in that one.
This is the back side of it- you can see the sugar a little better.
And one final thing!
Strawberry and chocolate swirled cake! I think this was my favorite part of it. It was cool looking and yummy!

Is this not so cute?! A fuzzy Teddy bear!
The baby's name is Charlotte so I put that on the teddy bear's tummy.
And it's cute little face! I used a different frosting so it has shiny eyes. Like a real teddy bear!
AND, I have to admit, I made this cake a few years ago.....yep! About two years ago. There's a picture below.

This one is white frosting and the last one was a cream color. Plus, this one was all "frosting" and the last one I used fondant for the hands and feet part of it.
Still cute though!
And that sums it all up for the cakes! Oh, wait! I just remembered....

I made this one before either of the last two cakes.
The family had six girls then they had a boy. So I wanted to do a total boy cake. I ended up putting a pile of "dirt" for that third tractor to be scooping. I used crushed cookies for the "dirt" and colored sugar for the gravel.
This was a neat cake too!

Close up of the edge....
Ok, I am done, no more cakes. = )
